Setting

Billings was founded in 1877 in the valley of the Yellowstone River. Montana State University Billings is just north of downtown.

Theaters

 The Art House Cinema & Pub opened in 2014. Alberta Bair Theater (the former Fox Theater, 1931) is a restored movie theater that hosts the Billings Symphony and touring Broadway shows.

Sports

The Billings Mustangs, Pioneer League Rookie affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds, play at Dehler Park (2008) in downtown Billings. The Rimrock Auto Arena, northeast of downtown, has sporting events, concerts, and other events.
